I think a submarine is a very worthwhile weapon. I believe we can defend ourselves with submarines and all our troops back at home. This whole idea that we have to be in 130 countries and 900 bases... is an old-fashioned idea.

There are a few elements - especially platinum and palladium - that have the amazing ability to absorb up to 900 times their own volume in hydrogen gas. To get a sense of the scale there, that's roughly equivalent to a 250-pound man swallowing something the size of a dozen African bull elephants and not gaining an inch on his waistline.

When I landed the first 900 at the XGames, it was just - it was a personal achievement. It was something that I have strived for for years and years and years, and in a lot of ways had given up on it. But I just didn't think of the resonance that would have.

Good Will Hunting
Good Will Hunting

Chuckie: Christ, who did you call?
Will: No one. I forgot the number.
Morgan: You fuckin' retarded? You went all the way out there in the rain and you didn't bring the number?
Will: No, it was your mother's 900 number. I just ran out of quarters.
Morgan: Hey, how about we get off of

mothers, all right? I just got off of yours!

Avengers: Endgame

Tony Stark: [putting Morgan to bed] Not that it's a competition, but she loves me 3,000.
Pepper Potts: Oh, does she, now?
Tony Stark: You were somewhere in the low 6 to 900 range.

Peter Weyland: [from TED Talks viral video] 100,000 BC: stone tools. 4,000 BC: the wheel. 900 AD: gunpowder - bit of a game changer, that one. 19th century: eureka, the lightbulb! 20th century: the automobile, television, nuclear weapons, spacecrafts, Internet. 21st century: biotech, nanotech, fusion and fission and M theory - and THAT, was just the first decade! We are now three

months into the year of our Lord, 2023. At this moment of our civilization, we can create cybernetic individuals, who in just a few short years will be completely indistinguishable from us. Which leads to an obvious conclusion: WE are the gods now.

Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels

Nick the Greek: Dunno Tom. Seems expensive.
Tom: Seems? Well, this seems to be a waste of my time. That is 900 nicker in any shop you're lucky enough to find one in. And you're complaining about 200? What school of finance did you study? "It's a deal, it's a steal, it's the sale of the fucking century!" In fact, fuck it Nick, I think I'll keep it!

Nick the Greek: All right all right, keep your Alans on!
[Peels off notes from his wad]
Nick the Greek: Here's a ton.
TomEddie: Jesus Christ!
Eddie: You could choke a dozen donkeys on that! And you're haggling over one hundred pound? What d'you do when you're not buying stereos

Nick? Finance revolutions?
Nick the Greek: 100 pounds is still 100 pounds.
Tom: Not when the price is 200 pounds it's not! And certainly not when you've got Liberia's deficit in your skyrocket. Tighter than a duck's butt you are. Now, c'mon. Lemme feel the fibre of your fabric.

The Hunt for Red October
The Hunt for Red October

[after Red October fails to appear for the exercise, Konovalov surfaces to check with headquarters]
Captain Tupolev: [reading his new orders] Mother of *God*...!
[pulls aside the curtain]
Captain Tupolev: Secure the masts! All ahead two thirds, set depth to 900 meters!
[reads the orders again]
Captain Tupolev:

Come left to heading two-zero-five!
Seaman - Konovalov: Heading two-zero-five, aye.
Captain Tupolev: These orders are seven bloody hours old! Sitting on the bottom like an idle schoolboy...
Andrei Bonovia - Konovalov: Captain...?
Captain Tupolev: All ahead flank!
Seaman -

Konovalov: All ahead flank.
Captain Tupolev: [to Andrei] Inquire with engineer about going to 105 percent on the reactor.
[an alarmed look passes around the bridge]
Captain Tupolev: Seven hours... the entire fleet is after him.
Seaman - Konovalov: Now leveling at 900 meters.
Captain

Tupolev: Very well.
Andrei Bonovia - Konovalov: Captain, engineer reports 105 percent on the reactor possible, but not recommended.
[long pause]
Captain Tupolev: Go to 105 percent on the reactor.
[instead of relaying the order, Andrei slams down the phone and confronts Tupolev]
Andrei Bonovia -

Konovalov: Captain! What is it? Where are we going?
Captain Tupolev: We're going to kill a friend, Andrei. We're going to kill Ramius.

Pawnbroker: [after inspecting pile of valuable watches] I'll give you 900 for this.
Porter: [indicating gun hanging on wall rack] Let me see that Magnum.
[Pawnbroker takes watches, points to gun as if to ask "This one?"]
Porter: That's it.
[Pawnbroker hands him the gun, Porter proceeds to test it out with finesse]

Porter: 500 and the gun.
Pawnbroker: [pause] Uh... I'll need to see some ID.
Porter: Of course.
