I want to share my journey because I think God wants us to share our stories with one another - to show others how what he has done in our lives. To help others who are going through the same thing. I think he gets joy in that.
Each year I have grown and learned new things.
My God has restored my life in so many ways.
I've always just written my heart and allowed God to do what he wanted to do.
I've always been real honest in my music and real honest when I play live.
I always write tons of different styles.
This time we live in is saying, 'Live for yourself, and whatever makes you happy' and all this kind of stuff, and it's so contrary. And we so don't want to go and be reckless for the Lord.
When you're reading the Word of God, you need to let it soak in and let God speak to your heart and let the Holy Spirit work.
For me, even with my Twitter and Facebook, I'm not on it all the time. I don't Twitter every day.

I had times when I'd be reading the Bible, and it would be talking about Jesus healing other people, and I'd be angry. I asked God some difficult questions. 'Why didn't you heal my wife?'
Through the loss of my wife and many confusing times, Jesus was always there by my side.
I might have some difficult questions, but I know God is still good and he has been merciful and gracious.
I've been through a lot and if God can use that story to help people through a lot of pain and heartache and share hope with people, well we'll see how it progresses.
