Being knee-deep in sadness or suffering and refusing to look down - to me, that represents something more powerful than someone who's never gone through difficulty.
I'm knee-deep into fashion; I'm knee-deep into movies.
When I first started out in music, I was so negative. I was knee-deep in the streets. Then my friends started going to jail. They said, 'Boy, you better start taking this seriously; you got a chance to do something with your life.' That's when I realised I had to focus. The music led to the acting.
For any reporter, education is a topic where everything else - money, politics, et cetera - intersects. I have four kids in K through 12, so I'm knee-deep in it. I'm really interested in the philosophy behind it all. Should you just memorize your multiplication tables, or should you understand the concept behind them?
Loki: The Casket wasn't the only thing you took from Jotunheim that day, was it?
Odin: No. In the aftermath of the battle I went into the temple and I found a baby. Small for a Giant's offspring, abandoned, suffering, left to die. Laufey's son.
Loki: Laufey's son?
Odin: Yes.
Loki: Why?
You were knee-deep in Jotun blood. Why would you take me?
Odin: You were an innocent child.
Loki: No. You took me for a purpose. What was it?... TELL ME!
Odin: I thought we could unite our kingdoms one day. Bring about an alliance, bring about permanent peace... through you.
Loki: What?
Odin: But those plans no longer matter.
Loki: So I am no more than another stolen relic, locked up here until you might have use of me?
Odin: Why do you twist my words?
Loki: You could have told me what I was from the beginning! Why didn't you?
Odin: You're my son... I wanted only to
protect you from the truth...
Loki: What, because I... I... I am the monster parents tell their children about at night?
Odin: [unwell] No! No!
Loki: You know, it all makes sense now, why you favored Thor all these years, because no matter how much you claim to love me, you could never have a Frost Giant sitting on the throne
of Asgard!
[an overcome Odin collapses]
Loki: Guards! Guards, please help!

Raven: [sees Logan] So Erik was telling the truth. You're really from the future.
Hank McCoy: Well, if you kill Trask, there'll be ten more like him.
Raven: Well then I'll kill them too, and anyone who comes next!
Logan: Let's just cut to the chase here, all right? You want to know
how all this ends? Because I've seen you in the future!
Raven: Yeah? What am I like?
Logan: You're a cold murderous bitch!
Hank McCoy: Whoa!
Raven: [sarcastic] Well, don't hold back!
Logan: By the time they finish you - and they finish you - you've killed so much you're knee-deep
in human AND mutant blood, you don't even know who you are!
Inspector Frank Butterman: I used to believe in the immutable word of the Law. That is until the night Mrs. Butterman was taken from me. You see no-one loved Sandford more than her - she was head of the Women's Institute, chair of the floral committee. When they started the Village of the Year contest, she worked around the clock. I've never seen such dedication. On the eve of the
adjudicator's arrival, some travellers moved into Callaghan Park. Before you could say 'gypsy scum' we were knee-deep in dog muck, thieving kids and crusty jugglers. We lost the title. And Irene lost her mind. She drove her Datsun Cherry into Sandford Gorge. From that moment on, I swore that I would do her proud.
