For me, the beauty of a person is a matter of the whole package. You have to look at the whole thing, not just a matter of outward appearance or whatever. It has to do with one's character, personality, upbringing and so on.
It's how you look at beauty. Is it only an outward appearance with hair and makeup and a hot body, or is it something deeper than that?
We too, through lack of knowledge and of sufficiently mature reflection, mistook the visible outward appearance of the phenomenon for the phenomenon itself.
Our outward appearance is a reflection of what we are on the inside. Our lives reflect that for which we seek. And if with all our hearts we truly seek to know the Savior and to be more like Him, we shall be, for He is our divine, eternal Brother.
You can recognize women who are grateful to be a daughter of God by their outward appearance. These women understand their stewardship over their bodies and treat them with dignity.
I felt really happy to be able to film together with Korea's most beautiful actress. Everyone thinks it's because of her outward appearance that Song Hye-kyo became famous, but after working together, I realized her inner heart and personality are also good. Moreover, she has lots of acting experience, and I actually did learn a lot from her.
One's appearance bespeaks dignity corresponding to the depth of his character. One's concentrated effort, serene attitude, taciturn air, courteous disposition, thoroughly polite bearing, gritted teeth with a piercing look - each of these reveals dignity. Such outward appearance, in short, comes from constant attentiveness and seriousness.
Agathe: [narrates] Then one night, an unexpected intruder arrived at the castle, seeking shelter from the bitter storm. As a gift, she offered the prince a single rose.
[Beggar woman offers the rose to the prince. He laughs and so does the rest of the party]
Agathe: Repulsed by her haggard appearance, the prince turned the woman away.
[the
Prince grabs the rose and shortly afterwards, he throws it to the ground]
Agathe: But she warned him not to be deceived by appearances, for beauty is found within.
[Beggar woman looks deeply towards the Prince]
Agathe: When he dismissed her again, the old woman's outward appearance melted away...
[Beggar woman turns into Agathe as she
picks up the rose]
Agathe: to reveal a most beautiful enchantress.
[Everyone backed up in terror. The Prince bent down on his knees for forgiveness. The people at the party were screaming and running away. Chip runs into the ballroom]
Agathe: The prince begged her for forgiveness. But it was too late, for she had seen that there was no love in
his heart.
Mrs. Potts: Chip! Chip!
Agathe: As punishment, she transformed him into a hideous beast, and placed a powerful spell on the castle and all who lived there.
[the servants were standing there in the ballroom watching the prince turn into a beast. The Beast slashed the portrait of the prince with his claws]
Agathe: As days bled into years, the prince and his servants were forgotten by the world, for the enchantress had erased all memory of them from the minds of the people they loved. But the rose she had offered was truly an enchanted rose. If he could learn to love another and earn their love in return by the time the last petal fall, the spell would be broken. If not, he would be
doomed to remain a beast for all time. As the years passed, he fell into despair and lost all hope. For who could ever learn to love a beast?
Roger the Alien: Do not fear me, pretty one, though my outward appearance may repulse thee I assure you my intentions are most pure.
