There are too many organisations - and the BBC is a fabulous organisation - that seem to think it's OK to badger, hector and threaten people.

I love the part of Hector as it takes me back to playing eccentric parts. He is a funny character, which is fine by me as I've been playing for laughs for decades now! It's lovely to get a laugh; it's the best thing in the world!

Gladiator
Gladiator

Commodus: Rise. Rise.
[Maximus stands up, clenching an arrow head in his right hand]
Commodus: Your fame is well deserved, Spaniard. I don't think there's ever been a gladiator to match you. As for this young man, he insists you are Hector reborn. Or was it Hercules? Why doesn't the hero reveal himself and tell us all your real name? You do have a

name.
Maximus: My name is Gladiator.
[turns away from Commodus]
Commodus: How dare you show your back to me! Slave, you will remove your helmet and tell me your name.
Maximus: [removes helmet and turns around to face Commodus] My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North, General of the

Felix Legions and loyal servant to the TRUE emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next.
[Commodus trembles in disbelief]
Quintus: Arms!
[Praetorians point their spears at the gladiators while the Colosseum crowd chants for them to live. Commodus shakes his head and

motions the crowd for silence. He then raises his fist and reluctantly gives the thumbs-up signal]

Scarface
Scarface

[Tony is on a payphone describing the botched drug deal involving Hector the Toad]
Tony Montana: [into the phone] Yeah, it was a setup. Bunch of cowboys. Somebody fucked up somewhere. Fuckin' Columbians. They never wanted to make the sale. They only wanted to steal the money.
Omar Suarez: [voice] All right, I'll look into it right away. I'll make

some inquiries and find out what happened.
Tony Montana: Yeah, you do that, Omar! You do that.
Omar Suarez: [voice] Do you still have the buy money?
Tony Montana: Yeah. And... I got the yeyo, too.
Omar Suarez: [voice] Wh-what? You got the yeyo?
Tony Montana: Yeah, I got it.

Right.
Omar Suarez: [voice] Bring it here to my place in one hour. Come alone.
Tony Montana: Fuck you! I'm taking the stuff to your boss, Lopez, myself. Not you. Me!

[Tony shows Frank the cocaine in a briefcase from the botched drug deal]
Tony Montana: Here's the stuff. From Hector and his Columbians. Two keys. Worth 50 grand. It cost my friend Angel his life. And here's your money back. My gift to you.
[after Frank looks inside the envelope containing the cash, he puts it back in the briefcase with the cocaine and closes it]

Frank Lopez: I'm sorry about your friend, Tony. If people would do business the right way, they'd be no fuck-ups like this. Don't think I don't appreciate the gesture. You're gonna find if you stay loyal in this business, you're gonna move up. You're gonna move up fast!

Troy
Troy

Achilles: [when asked why he let Hector go] It's too early in the day to be killing princes.

Troy
Troy

Agamemnon: Achilles is one man!
Odysseus: Hector is one man! Look what he did to us today!
Agamemnon: Hector fights for his country! Achilles fights only for himself!
Odysseus: I don't care about the man's allegiance, I care about his ability to win battles!

Coco

Mamá Imelda: Mijo, I was so worried.
[Hugs Miguel, then looks to Héctor resentfully]
Mamá Imelda: And you, how many times must I turn you away?
Héctor: Imelda...
Mamá Imelda: I want nothing to do with you! Not in life, not in death! I spent decades protecting my family from *your* mistakes. He

spends five minutes with you, and I have to fish him out of a sinkhole!
Miguel: I wasn't in there because of Héctor. He was in there because of me. He was just trying to get me home! I didn't want to listen, but he was right! Nothing is more important than family. I'm ready to accept your blessing. And your conditions. But first, I need to find de la Cruz. To get Héctor's

photo!
Mamá Imelda: What?
Miguel: So, he can see Coco again. Héctor should be on our ofrenda. He's part of our family.
Mamá Imelda: He *left* this family!
Miguel: He tried to go home to you and Coco. But de la Cruz murdered him!
Héctor: [sorrowfully] It's true, Imelda.

Miguel: And so what if it's true? You leave me alone with a child to raise, and I'm just supposed to forgive you?
Héctor: Imelda, I...
[Suddenly shudders and collapses to his knees, Imelda gasps]
Héctor: I'm running out of time. It's Coco.
Mamá Imelda: She's forgetting you.

Miguel: You don't have to forgive him. But you shouldn't forget him.
Mamá Imelda: I wanted to forget you. I wanted Coco to forget you, too, but...
Héctor: This is my fault, not yours. I'm sorry, Imelda.
Mamá Imelda: Miguel, if we help you get his photo, you will return home? No more music?

Miguel: Family comes first.
Mamá Imelda: I... I can't forgive you. But I will help you. So how do we get to de la Cruz?
Miguel: I... might know a way.

Mamá Imelda: [to Héctor; after Miguel reveals that Héctor didn't abandoned her, but was killed while trying to come back to her and that Ernesto took Héctor's portrait] I will never forgive you...
[suddenly smiles]
Mamá Imelda: But I will help you.

[Mamá Imelda has just taken Héctor's protrait from De La Cruz and is about to give Miguel her blessing to send him back home]
Mamá Imelda: Miguel, I give you my blessing, to go home and...
Miguel: [questioningly] ... to forget about music?
[Mamá Imelda looks at Héctor and smiles]
Mamá Imelda: ...And never forget

how much your family cares for you.
