I want to play so many different characters. I want to, like, understand so many different people, and psychoanalysis, everything. I love that about my job: getting into the character and understanding it and doing the psychoanalysis and creating that character.
Being in the camera's eye is like stepping into a dream world, one that is often more interesting than real life.

I was shooting a German movie, 'Whatever Happens,' at the time, and I got the call from my agent asking me to self-tape for 'Blade Runner.' That was a no-brainer. I loved the original, and Rutger Hauer was a national hero, and he did such a good job in it.
Especially for young girls growing up, it would be lovely to see strong women who don't necessarily need to be sexy or find that interesting. Or have to be the girlfriend or the mother. They can play complex characters that you want to follow and make you believe that you can be strong as well.
