Basically, Apollo was more of a mediator between Zeus in Olympus and Perseus on Earth. He played much more of an active role.
Andromeda: [after Perseus rescues Andromeda] The boats are coming for us.
Perseus: For you, not for me.
Andromeda: You won't stay, will you? Perseus, Argos needs a ruler!
Perseus: I cannot be a king. I serve you better as a man.
Ixas: Eusebios... Remember what Perseus said. Eyes down!

Perseus: YOU!
[in a fit of anger, Perseus charges at Hades before he hurtles the soldiers at him]
Hephaestus: [the entrance to the labryinth is prematurely closing while Perseus battles Ares] No! *Not Now!*
