Harry Potter to me is a bore. His talent arrives as a gift; he's chosen. Who can identify with that? But Hermione - she's working harder than anyone, she's half outsider, right? Half Muggle. She shouldn't be there at all. It's so unfair that Harry's the star of the books, given how hard she worked to get her powers.

I am a black woman who has been given this character called Hermione to play on the stage. But actually, we've all grown up with the books, with Emma Watson playing her in the films. Imagery is so strong.

I want a little black girl to pick up my book one day and see herself as the star. I want her to know that she's beautiful, and she matters, and she can have a crazy, magical adventure even if an ignorant part of the world tells her she can never be Hermione Granger.

Me and Hermione Norris are now best friends.

Hermione Granger: [Walking out of Dumbledore's office, now knowing what he must do, Harry sees Ron and Hermione holding each other on the Grand Staircase. Upon hearing his footsteps, Hermione stands up to face him] Where have you been?
Ron Weasley: We thought you went to the Forest.
Harry Potter: I'm going there now.

Ron Weasley: Are you mad? No. You can't give yourself up to him.
Hermione Granger: What is it, Harry? What is it you know?
Harry Potter: There's a reason I can hear them... the Horcruxes. I think I've known for awhile.
[Realization dawns on Hermione]
Harry Potter: And I think you have too.

Hermione Granger: [She begins to cry] I'll go with you!
Harry Potter: No. Kill the snake. Kill the snake and then it's just him.
[Hermione runs to hug him. Harry glances over her shoulder and looks at Ron, knowing it may be the last time he ever sees either of his best friends]

Lord Voldemort: [as Harry, Ron and Hermione stand in the boathouse, Voldemort's voice echoes throughout the castle grounds] You have fought valiantly, but in vain.
[Shot of a female Death Eater disarming George Weasley]
Lord Voldemort: I do not wish this. Every drop of magical blood spilled is a terrible waste. I therefore command my forces to

retreat.
[Shot of all Death Eaters lowering their wands]
Lord Voldemort: In their absence, dispose of your dead with dignity. Harry Potter, I now speak directly to you. On this night, you have allowed your friends to die for you rather than face me yourself.
[Harry stares at the burning wreckage of Hogwarts]
Lord Voldemort: There is no

greater dishonor. Join me in the Forbidden Forest and confront your fate. If you do not do this, I shall kill every last man, woman and child who tries to conceal you from me.

Lord Voldemort: [as Harry, Ron and Hermione eavesdrop of him and Snape, suspiciously] The wand, does it truly answer to me? You're a clever man, Severus. Surely you must know. Where does its true loyalty lie?
Professor Severus Snape: With you... of course, my Lord.
Lord Voldemort: The Elder Wand cannot serve me properly because I am

not its true master. The Elder Wand belongs to the wizard who killed its last owner.
[pauses in realization]
Lord Voldemort: You killed Dumbledore, Severus. While you live, the Elder Wand cannot truly be mine. You've been a good and faithful servant Severus - but only I can live... forever.
Professor Severus Snape: My Lord...
[Voldemort

swishes his wand at Snape slitting his throat, Snape bleeds uncontrollably and falls on the window, Harry shudders in fear]
Lord Voldemort: Nagini, kill!
[Nagini strikes at Snape several times, much to Harry's horror, Voldemort and Nagini leave and Disapparate]

[after Voldemort's death, and the war was over, Harry stands over the broken bridge gazing at the deep abyss holding the Elder Wand]
Hermione Granger: [about Voldemort] Why didn't it work for him, the Elder Wand?
Harry Potter: It answered to somebody else. When he killed Snape, he thought the wand would become his, but the thing is, the wand never

belonged to Snape. It was Draco who disarmed Dumbledore that night in the Astronomy Tower. From that moment on, the wand answered him... until the other night when I disarmed Draco at Malfoy Manor.
Ron Weasley: So that means...
Harry Potter: [proudly] It's mine.
Ron Weasley: What should we do with it?
Hermione

Granger: [incredulously] We?
Ron Weasley: I'm just saying - that's the Elder Wand, the most powerful wand in the world. With that, we'd be invincible!
[Harry pauses and has second thoughts, then snaps the Elder Wand in half destroying its power before tosses the two halves into the abyss, Ron and Hermione proudly smile at Harry]

[Bellatrix's vault floods with Gemino Cursed treasure trapping Harry, Ron and Hermione, Griphook takes the Hufflepuff cup]
Harry Potter: [furiously] We had a deal, Griphook!
Griphook: The cup for the sword!
[Harry tosses the Gryffindor sword to Griphook, who then tosses the cup to a screaming Hermoine]
Griphook: [grins

deviously] I said I'd get you in. I didn't say anything about getting you out!
[Griphook escapes with Bogrod as the treasure continues multiplying nearly burying Harry, Ron and Hermione until it stops, Harry, Ron and Hermione finally free themselves from the vault and they see Griphook running off ringing the alarm to alert security]
Harry Potter: GRIPHOOK!

Griphook: THIEVES!
Harry Potter: GRIPHOOK!
Griphook: HELP, THIEVES!
[Griphook runs off as Bogrod, still under the Imperius Curse, stands looking at them and chuckling]
Ron Weasley: That foul little git! At least we've still got Bogrod.
[Just then, the dragon chained by the vaults breathes fire at

Bogrod burning him to death to a crisp]
Ron Weasley: [stunned] That's unfortunate!

Hermione: Harry, no way! You heard what Madam Hooch said. Besides, you don't even know how to fly!
[Harry ignores Hermione and he flies up]
