[Hans and a weakened Anna lean in to kiss. But then Hans stops and smiles evilly]
Hans: Oh, Anna. If only there was someone out there who loved you.
[Gets up and leaves]
Anna: What?
[Shocked, she turns to see him walking to a window]
Anna: Y-You said you did.
Hans: [Closing the curtains]

As thirteenth in line in my own kingdom, I didn't stand a chance. I knew, I'd have to marry into the throne somewhere.
Anna: What-what are you talking about?
Hans: [puts out a candle] As heir, Elsa was preferable, of course, but no one was getting anywhere with her. But you.
Anna: Hans?
Hans: You were

so desperate for love, you were willing to marry me, just like that!
[He picks up a pitcher of water and goes to the fireplace]
Hans: I figured after we married, I'd have to stage a little accident for Elsa.
[He pours water onto the fire, putting it out. Anna reaches out to stop him, but collapses onto the floor]
Anna: Hans, no! Stop!

Hans: But then she doomed herself, and you were dumb enough to go after her.
Anna: Please.
Hans: [chuckles] All that's left now is to kill Elsa and bring back summer.
Anna: [bravely] You're no match for Elsa.
Hans: No, you're no match for Elsa. I, on the other hand, am the hero

who's going to save Arendelle from destruction.
[Hans walks to the door]
Anna: [angrily] You won't get away with this!
Hans: Oh I already have.
[Hans leaves, locking the door behind him]

Young Anna: [Young Anna and Elsa slide down the indoor snow mound created by young Elsa's ice magic] Tickle bumps!
Young Elsa: [Young Anna lands in an indoor snow bank] Hang on!
Young Anna: [Young Anna jumps from one snow bank to another] Catch me!
Young Elsa: Gotcha!
Young Anna: Again!

Young Elsa: Wait!
Young Anna: Woo-hoo!
Young Elsa: Slow down!
[Young Elsa slips on an indoor ice patch]
Young Elsa: Anna!
[Young Elsa accidentally hits Young Anna with a magic ice blast, and Young Anna falls to the ground, Young Elsa rushes over to her sister's side]
Young

Elsa: Anna! Mama! Papa!
[Young Elsa kneels at her sister's side, crying]
Young Elsa: You're okay, Anna, I got you!
[Young Elsa cradles an unconscious Anna in her arms]
King: Elsa, what have you done? This is getting out of hand!
Young Elsa: It was an accident. I'm sorry, Anna!

Queen: Oh, she's ice cold!
King: I know where we have to go.
[the King of Arendelle looks in the library, finds an ancient book with rune writings, and rides off for Troll Valley, as Young Elsa leaves a magical trail on the ground]
Young Kristoff: Ice? Faster, Sven!
[Young Kristoff follows the magic ice trail at a safe

distance on Sven's back]

King: Please, help! It's my daughter!
[the Rock trolls roll into the valley]
Gothi - Troll Priest: It's the king!
Young Kristoff: Trolls?
[the rock Kristoff is hiding behing turns out to be a female troll named Bulda]
Bulda: Shush! I'm trying to listen!
[Sven licks Bulda's right cheek]

Bulda: Cuties, I'm going to keep you!
[Bulda hugs young Kristoff and Sven to her cheeks]
Pabbie: [the King of Arendelle kneels] Your Majesty. Born with the powers, or cursed?
King: Born, and they're getting stronger.
[the Queen hands Anna to Pabbie for examination]
Pabbie: Here, here.

[Pabbie puts his hand to Anna's forehead]
Pabbie: You were lucky it wasn't her heart; the heart is not so easily changed, but the head can be persuaded.
King: Do what you must.
Pabbie: I recommend we remove all magic... even memories of magic, to be safe. But don't worry, I'll leave the fun.
[Pabbie puts his hands on

Anna's forehead]
Pabbie: She will be okay.
Young Elsa: But she won't remember I have powers?
King: It's for the best.
Pabbie: Listen to me, Elsa: your power will only grow. There is beauty in it...
[the trolls ooh and aah at the magical Aurora Borealis-like sky shadows]

Pabbie: But also great danger. You must learn to control it... fear will be your enemy.
King: No, we'll protect her. She can learn to control it, I'm sure. Until then, we'll lock the gates, we'll reduce the staff, we will limit her contact with people, and keep her powers hidden from everyone... including Anna.

Pabbie: The past is not what it seems. A wrong demands to be righted. Arendelle is not safe. The truth must be found. Without it, I see no future.

Anna: [Anna running after Elsa] Hey, hey, hey, what are you doing?
Elsa: This is my fault. They were looking for answers about me.
Anna: You are not responsible for their choices, Elsa.
Elsa: No, just their deaths.
Anna: Stop! No! Yelena asked, why would the spirits reward Arendelle

with a magical queen? Because our mother saved our father. She saved her enemy. Her good deed was rewarded with you. You are a gift.
Elsa: For what?
Anna: If anyone can resolve the past, if anyone can save Arendelle and free this forest, it's you. I believe in you, Elsa, more than anyone, or anything.

Mattias: [after Olaf explains everything; to Elsa] Are you really queen of Arendelle?
Elsa: I am.
Yelena: Why would nature reward a person of Arendelle with magic?
Mattias: Perhaps to make up for the actions of your people.
Yelena: My people are innocent. We would've never attacked

first.
Mattias: May the truth be found.
[notices Anna next to him]
Mattias: Hi. I'm sor- What's happening?
Anna: That's it! Lieutenant Mattias! Library, second portrait on the left. You were our father's official guard!
Mattias: Agnarr. What did happen to your parents?

Anna: Our parents' ship went down in the Southern Sea six years ago.
Mattias: I see him. I see him in your faces.
Anna: Really?
Mattias: [to his knights] Soldiers! We may be getting on in years, but we're still strong. And proud to serve Arendelle.

Anna: [an ice sculpture materializes in front of Anna and Olaf] Elsa's found it.
Olaf: What is it?
Anna: The truth about the past. That's my grandfather... attacking the Northuldra leader, who wields no weapon.
[dismayed]
Anna: The dam wasn't a gift of peace. It was a trick.

Olaf: But that goes against everything Arendelle stands for.
Anna: It does, doesn't it?
[sits down]
Anna: I know how to free the forest. I know what we have to do to set things right.
Olaf: Why do you say that so sadly?
Anna: We have to break the dam.
