Captain Needa: [on a hologram] And that, Lord Vader, was the last time they appeared in any of our scopes. Considering the amount of damage we've sustained, they must've been destroyed.
Darth Vader: [not on the hologram] No, Captain. They're alive. I want every ship available to sweep the asteroid field until they are found.
[Needa bows and the

hologram disappears]
Admiral Piett: [walks up to Vader] Lord Vader.
Darth Vader: Yes, Admiral, what is it?
Admiral Piett: The Emperor commands you to make contact with him.
Darth Vader: Move the ship out of the asteroid field so that we can send a clear transmission.
Admiral

Piett: Yes, my Lord.
[Vader goes into his room and bows as Emperor Palpatine appears on a giant hologram]
Darth Vader: What is thy bidding, my master?
Emperor Palpatine: There is a great disturbance in the Force.
Darth Vader: I have felt it.
Emperor Palpatine: We have a new enemy. The

young rebel who destroyed the Death Star. I have no doubt this boy is the offspring of Anakin Skywalker.
Darth Vader: How is that possible?
Emperor Palpatine: Search your feelings, Lord Vader. You will know it to be true. He could destroy us.
Darth Vader: He's just a boy. Obi-Wan can no longer help him.
Emperor

Palpatine: The Force is strong with him. The son of Skywalker must not become a Jedi.
Darth Vader: If he could be turned, he would become a powerful ally.

[Vader growls, and his Dark Side strength crushes everything around him in the room. He frees himself from the metal stretcher, and steps off. Palpatine has a smirk on his face]

Obi-Wan: I have failed you, Anakin. I have failed you.
Anakin Skywalker: I should have known the Jedi were plotting to take over!

Mace Windu: [suprised] A Sith Lord?
Anakin Skywalker: Yes, the one we've been looking for.
Mace Windu: How do you know this?
Anakin Skywalker: He knows the ways of the Force. He told me himself. He's been trained to use the Dark Side.
Mace Windu: Are you

Anakin Skywalker: Absolutely.
Mace Windu: Then our worst fears have been realized. We must move quickly if the Jedi Order is to survive.
Anakin Skywalker: Master, the Chancellor is very powerful and dangerous. You'll need my help if you're going to arrest him.
Mace Windu: For your own good, stay

out of this affair. I sense a great deal of confusion in you, young Skywalker. There is much fear that clouds your judgment.
Anakin Skywalker: I must go, Master.
Mace Windu: No! If what you've told me is true, you will have gained my trust. But for now, remain here. Wait in the Council chamber until we return.

Skywalker: Yes, Master.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: [referring to Anakin] I'm looking for Anakin. When was the last time you saw him?
Padmé: Yesterday.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: Do you know where he is now?
Padmé: [clearly lying] No. He wouldn't tell me.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: Padmé, I need your help. He is in grave danger.

Padmé: From the Sith?
Obi-Wan Kenobi: From himself. Padmé, Anakin has turned to the dark side.
Padmé: You're wrong. How could you even say that?
Obi-Wan Kenobi: I have seen... a security hologram... of him... killing younglings.
Padmé: Not Anakin. He couldn't.
Obi-Wan

Kenobi: He was deceived by a lie. We all were. It appears that the Chancellor is behind everything, including the war. Palpatine is the Sith lord we've been looking for. After the death of Count Dooku, Anakin became his new apprentice.
Padmé: [turns away in shock; sits down on the couch] I don't believe you. I can't.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: [sits

down on the couch] Padmé, I must find him.
Padmé: [turns to Obi-Wan] You're going to kill him, aren't you?
Obi-Wan Kenobi: He has become a very great threat.
Padmé: [turns away and shakes her head] I can't.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: [gets off of the couch, walking towards his ship] Anakin is the father, isn't

[Padmé doesn't know what to say]
Obi-Wan Kenobi: I'm so sorry.

Mace Windu: [has Palpatine subdued] I'm going to put an end to this, once and for all!
Anakin Skywalker: You can't. He must stand trial.
Mace Windu: He has control of the senate and all the courts. He is too dangerous to be left alive!
Supreme Chancellor: [exhausted and disfigured] But, I'm too weak. Don't

kill me.
Anakin Skywalker: That's not the Jedi way. He must live.
[Windu ignores Anakin, still intending to kill Palpatine]
Anakin Skywalker: I need him!
[Windu raises his lightsaber]
Anakin Skywalker: NO!
Supreme Chancellor: [Anakin draws his own lightsaber, cutting off Windu's arm, then

Palpatine electricutes Windu] Power, unlimited power!

[Anakin has been appointed onto the council, but denied mastership]
Anakin Skywalker: I swear to you... I didn't ask to be put on the council.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: But it's what you wanted. Your friendship with Chancellor Palpatine seems to have paid off. Anakin, I am on your side. I did not want to put you in this situation

Skywalker: What situation?
Obi-Wan Kenobi: The Council wants you to report on all the Chancellor's dealings.
Anakin Skywalker: They want me to spy on the Chancellor? But that is treason!
Obi-Wan Kenobi: We are at war, Anakin.

Supreme Chancellor: [Anakin cuts off Dooku's hands ending the battle. Anakin catches Dooku's lightsabre and ignites it and puts both lightsabres to his neck] Good, Anakin, good. Kill him.
[Dooku looks at Palpatine in shock]
Supreme Chancellor: Kill him now.
Anakin Skywalker: I shouldn't...
Supreme

Chancellor: Do it!
Anakin Skywalker: [Anakin decapitates Dooku]
Supreme Chancellor: You did well, Anakin. He was too dangerous to be kept alive.
Anakin Skywalker: Yes, but he was an unarmed prisoner.
[frees Chancellor Palpatine]
Anakin Skywalker: I shouldn't have done that. It's not the

Jedi way.
Supreme Chancellor: [stands up, rubbing his wrists] It is only natural. He cut off your arm, and you wanted revenge. It wasn't the first time, Anakin. Remember what you told me about your mother and the Sand People.
[sound of sand people screaming in as if Anakin can still hear their death]
Supreme Chancellor: Now, we must leave

before more security droids arrive.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: [as he and Anakin walk into a room and find Chancellor Palpatine in a chair] Chancellor.
[bows]
Anakin Skywalker: You all right?
Supreme Chancellor: Count Dooku.
[Anakin and Obi-Wan turn around to and see Count Dooku with two Super Battle Droids]
Obi-Wan Kenobi: This time we'll do

it together.
Anakin Skywalker: I was about to say that.
Supreme Chancellor: You can't be any match for him, he's a Sith Lord.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: Chancellor Palpatine, Sith Lords are our specialty.
[he and Anakin take off robes]
Count Dooku: Your swords, please. You don't want to make a mess of

things in front of the Chancellor.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: You won't get away this time, Dooku.
[he, Anakin, and Dooku ignite lightsabers and fight]
Count Dooku: I've been looking forward to this.
Anakin Skywalker: My powers are double since the last time we met, Count.
Count Dooku: Good. Twice the

pride, double the fall.
[fights more]
Supreme Chancellor: [as Obi-Wan falls and gets back up, running toward Dooku] Get him!
[Dooku chokes Obi-Wan and throws him down the stairs]
