You need to stay in that one position to get consistency that way. Different things are going through your mind when you are playing out right to when you are playing through the middle, so you can't get through that routine of where you want to play.
To me, style is consistency.
Even as a kid, I was a businessman. I figured out that if you plucked all the berries off my neighbor's tree and smashed them up, they made a Nickelodeon Gak-type consistency. I sold them to all the neighborhood kids and made stacks of quarters. Of course, the berries were poisonous, and I got in all types of trouble.
To be perfectly honest with you, having a mother as an actress - who I watched struggle tremendously during my childhood - and to watch fluctuations of ups and downs is difficult. She did mainly television, so I think I associated that with a life of inconsistency. As I've come into my own, I realize it has nothing to do with the medium.
We are not interested in the fact that the brain has the consistency of cold porridge.
By my very nature, I would never achieve a great level of consistency. That's my appeal and my downfall rolled into one.
The young people I know judge leaders by their deeds and abhor hypocrisy. Inconsistency and point-scoring do not win respect. Consistency for me is everything.
Discipline is not consistency, and the reason why I say that is - like, for an example, making prayer five times a day, that establishes routine and consistency. That I can do. And having certain fundamental consistencies in business, can do. But time management, outside of that, that's where that's a challenge.
My game is characterised by consistency, and that is what has brought me to Liverpool and helped me grow and develop. I like to make simple saves. I don't make saves for the camera.
